The Egghead 2000
Not the most flattering of nicknames, the Strang Institute’s main computer CPU, the Egghead 2000, received that handle back in the days when the number 2000 was meant to mean something was futuristic. The egghead part was meant as a bit of a joke that unfortunately stuck.
Built in the 1960s, unlike most of its contemporary supercomputers the EH2000 didn’t become obsolete. That’s because it works like a human brain, constantly learning and growing, using technological secrets that the Institute keeps closely guarded (my security clearance doesn’t allow me access to that information).
Ellie’s central processing unit uses similar technology.
Apparently not closely guarded enough!
Hey! What happened to your cool Aussie accent???
Hey, . . . yeah!
I’m not sure people who speak with an accent also type with an accent. After all, they think they’re speaking normally and YOU are the one that has the strange accent 🙂
Very nice (he types sarcastically). You got what you wanted and now you come back to kick us when we’re down, rub salt in our wounds, throw sand in our faces, give us paper cuts and pour lemon juice on them?
Well, K. Rat, you may have won today, but . . . well . . . yeah.
I hope whoever you’re working for finds that information totally useless. And if you have any plans to hack into our dear Ellie’s CPU, good luck with that. At 8.5 light years away I think even you would find that difficult.
Also, despite my better judgement, but mostly to shut him up, Dr. Kozak was wondering . . . sigh (rolls eyes) . . . are you single?
Btw, nice email address.
