Lettin’ the Cat Outta the Bag
I can finally clue all of you in to what we’ve been up to here at Mission Control for the past few months! It’s really exciting news! I’ve been working on an Ellie on Planet X GRAPHIC NOVEL!
I’ve been in touch with top people who think Ellie would make a great story, and we’ll be presenting it to publishers when I finish getting my submission together. There’s still a lot of work to do. I’m writing a script and then have to do a large number of sample pages. This is going to keep me quite busy for some time.
That’s about all I can tell you for now. I won’t be updating the comic here at the website any time soon, but I’ll post some things to the blog from time to time to keep you in the know about goings on here at Mission Control.
Thanks again, all of you, for following Ellie and Jeff and Muffin all these years. And prepare for more of them to come!
Sounds awesome! Looking forward to it….but I always worry when there are “top” people involved….
INDIANA JONES That’s a powerful force. Research should be done –
MAJ EATON Oh, it will be, Dr. Jones, I assure you. We have top men working on it right now.
INDIANA JONES Who?
MAJ EATON Top. Men.
Just don’t let it end up in a secret government warehouse somewhere!
I know that’s one of Ellie’s fears.
But not to worry. Trust me. 😉
Meow! Welcome to Level 4 Toots!
You get an extra life on Level 4!
As always, I wish you the best of luck with this Jim! This is great news, for a great guy and one of my favorite cartoonists!
Back atcha, Denver!
Fantastic news! I can’t wait!
Thanks, Don!
Congrats, Jim! Really looking forward seeing Ellie and the gang in a graphic novel!
Thanks, Wouter! This is gonna be tons of fun.
Take it to the next level, James! Best of luck!
Thanks a bunch, Mark!
Wow!!!! Fantastic!!!!
Thanks, Carsten!
This is totally cool news. I’ve been lurking around since the first few strips posted, it’s neat to see you so much Hardwork payoff. I’m curious Will receive a compilation of the Webstrips?
Thanks for checking back, Anthony!
As far as a collection goes, at this point, probably not. I don’t have a publisher yet, so I do have every right to print one. But I don’t want to get stuck with a bunch of expensive books that I probably wouldn’t be able to sell, due to legal issues, if and when I do sign a contract. Regardless, the website will be here to read for free!
DUDE. I’m so down. Also I found your long dead deviantart by accident. It was a trip!
Thanks, figgs! Yeah, that was some early stuff. I hope I’ve improved!
