It’s actually all digital. It’s just so much easier not having to scan in work (though I occasionally will scan in a sketch if I don’t think I can redraw it well enough). As for the type, I originally intended to use a font of my own printing, but now I just use that to lay out the text and then I draw the text over that. That way I can change the text up however I want. It also has a more organic feel to it.
I will say that I’ve had mixed feelings about doing it digitally. I really like the control I get, but I used to feel like it lacked soul seeing as there was no original art. I’m mostly over that now. 🙂
At some point I’ll do a video or something on my process.
