@ Frank: I’m sure that’s what’s going through Muffin’s head.
@ Denver: That may be a trait of a lot of Planet X’s indigenous life.
@ Tom: I have a sneaking suspicion that Muffin actually cares, he’s just not going to admit it. That’s the only reason we here at Mission Control can come up with for why he still hangs around.
@ kjhfkjsfdsg: “Awesometacular” ish the word o’ da day!
I assumed that when Ellie says “banana” she is really saying “click-click-pop” (or something like that) referring to the proper name of some local vaguely bananalike X-ian fruit, and translating it for us as “banana” in her transmission, so that Muffin would not be at all confused by the reference. (Kind of like she does with Muffin’s real name)
Something like that, Artie. We’ve analyzed Ellie’s translations and are building a Planet X-ian language dictionary of sorts. Banana pudding is literally translated as “yellow funny Earth fruit yummy mud treat”. Why Ellie chose that string of words depends a lot on her still limited knowledge of the local language and possibly phrases she picked up during her programming: Dr. Strang was known to love banana pudding and would also act out slip-on-the-banana-peal pratfalls during media events.
“Bana-what now?”
Jeff looks like one of those old squeeze’m JoBo dolls! LOL!
Muffin has to be thinking, “and why do I care?” 🙂 I think Jeff is becoming my favorite character.
yesh,Jeff ish awesometacular.

I thought he was hanging off of Ellie’s arm
Ellie’s still hanging onto Muffin’s arm. In retrospect, it isn’t very clear. Something I need to work on in the future.
