@ Frank: Thirty years ago? More like thirty-eight. It was a thirty year trip, plus the eight years it took for her signal to return to Earth. I was seven years old. I can hardly be blamed for not equipping Ellie with a scoop! 😀
That said, her data indicates that the mud is pretty viscous and she’s stuck in there really good. I’m not sure a shovel would have helped anyway.
Jim, Just the way you responded to “Frank” is a glimpse into how amazingly creative your mind is! You are gifted my friend. I love this comic, you have no idea. All I needed to do as a kid or adult to travel, explore, leave the present, was to read comics, but they all became so much the same, boring. Thanks for bringing me back, I love traveling with you!!
This comic speaks to me from this past Monday morning in the snow… -sigh-
I was thinking snow too! 🙂
@ Tom and Denver: And we’re due for more tonight and tomorrow. Like seven inches, I think. Ugh.
Wait, you’re telling me you guys didn’t equip Ellie with a shovel? Dude, even the Mars rover has a little scoop!
(cue rant on it being 30 years ago)

Ugh, I’ve done way to much forward/reverse recently. I feel for you Ellie!
Oh no…this must be it for Ellie. She’s stuck forever.
@ dse81: I think we all have.
@ Anthony: And suddenly, just like that, the strip ends. Oh, the hate mail I would get. I’m sure she’ll find a way out!

@ Scott: Thank you. I have a lot of respect for you (and J. too) so that means a great deal to me. “You” have no idea. 🙂
