@ Anthony: Thanks! But it now seems kind of awkward to me. I’m starting to think it would have been better if he just looked back over his shoulder instead of both ways. But I won’t argue if you think it works well!
Panel 2 took a second for me to see the head turn lines but it was clear what was going on. The strip is a bit smaller on the iPad but am sure it would have been immediately clear on my laptop.
Mate, this strip is wonderful. I came here because of the io9 story, and thanks to them for alerting me to your work. I tell people that I’m an abstract artist because I can’t draw, and your brilliant strip only confirms this fact. Ellie is cool!
I got here via io9 as well and I’m glad I did. You mentioned something about “Calvin and Hobbes” a few pages back. After reading just a few of your strips I thought of just how much the humor of your strip and the characters’ sensibilities resemble C&H. It’s one of the many, many reasons I love your comic. You have a new, loyal fan!
@ gargravarr: I thought that I recognized a Hitchhikers’ name when I saw it in my email! Glad you like the strip. Thanks for the praise.
@ Mikey: I’m happy you like it!
@ Thogar: Funny enough, I never really read Calvin & Hobbes when it was in the papers. I didn’t get into it until much later. But Watterson is definitely an influence. Thanks for the high praise.
LOL!!! I love panel 2–well done!
Naughty Muffin!

Having him look both ways works better because it’s funnier
I can’t argue against that!
Mind Shrub would make a great band name.

Thanks Shat. It’s kinda hard to see on a laptop too and I had thought about fixing it. So I did!
/me is still giggling – it’s so funny! 😀
Thanks DSL. I checked out your website. Great art! Lots of texture! Bookmarked!
Just got here from reading about this comic on io9.com. And you’ve got yourself a new regular reader. Great work, I’m truly loving this.
Thanks Jonas! I’m thrilled you like it! And thanks for letting me know about the io9 story. I’ll post that later when I get a chance.
I love it!

Yeah, I also came here thanks to the io9 story. I’m really enjoying the comic.

Miss Shiney Bucket …. that is awesome!
I also see a little Bloom County in this one.
There’s probably a little Bloom County in all of them.
