Nice pic.
How many hits are you getting these days?
Probably all the folks with RSS readers – an indispensable tool for keeping up with those webcomics that don’t update on a regular schedule! I don’t know how I ever got by without one…
That’s what I’m thinking, Number 6.
I’ve never gotten a lot of hits to begin with. On a daily basis it’s down to around 100, but if I post something it goes up to 350-400 for the day, which is about what it was when I was updating twice a week. Not big numbers by any means.
How about another storyline? Non Ellie but still on this planet?
Hmmm…I have to finish another project first, but maybe…
Beats letting this awesome website die. Planet stories, mission control stories, Kangaroo Rat stories. It’s a big universe you created.
And you might want to consider doing some Google ads and merchandise (do pre orders) for some additional income.
Thanks, KNO3!
Whatever happens, I intend for Ellie to be around for a while yet!
But if it was a non-Ellie story on Planet X, how would we know about it? Nobody else is transmitting from there!
We wouldn’t!
Or someone told Ellie.
What are those circles in the sky? Suns? Moons?
Planet X is in a binary star system, consisting of a white main-sequence star and it’s white dwarf companion.
What I’m saying is, “Those are the suns.”
Really? Are you serious? 😉

🙂
I’m gonna fight them
Agent progress report please?
Ssshhhh…Got my first rejection letter the other day. Not a big deal. That’s all I can say.
From Wikipedia: “In 1936, while [Dr Seuss] was returning from an ocean voyage to Europe, the rhythm of the ship’s engines inspired the poem that became his first book, And to Think That I Saw It on Mulberry Street. Based on Geisel’s varied accounts, the book was rejected by between 20 and 43 publishers. According to Geisel, he was walking home to burn the manuscript when a chance encounter with an old Dartmouth classmate led to its publication”
No matter how many rejection letters you get, please don’t burn the web site 😉
Thanks, Number 6!
I have no intention of burning the website. Here’s what’s going on in my head right now: I’m waiting to hear back from publishers that the graphic novel has been sent to. I don’t want to jeopardize that in any way, so I’m not updating the Ellie story for the time being (I have something else I want to share, but finding the time has been crazy lately). If the graphic novel is picked up, there will be A LOT of work to do and the comic won’t be updated. Plus there’s probably some legal issues that will need to be addressed. If the graphic novel isn’t picked up, the comic will continue. I hope to collect everything on the site into a book one day, but when that happens all depends on what happens with the graphic novel.
Having a graphic novel of Ellie is a dream of mine. The opportunity to get her out in front of a wider audience can open up things I never imagined. Well, to be honest, I actually did imagine them.
I’m not too concerned about one rejection letter. It was actually very nice and constructive. If it gets up to 20-43, then I’ll be concerned.
Hi James, great drawing! Hope you are doing great! Glad to see some of your awesomeness! Hope we see more!
Hey, Don! I’m doing pretty good. Lotsa stuff going on. I keep forgetting to look at your and Chris’ project. I shall rectify that.
Are you going to make the mission patch?
I hadn’t planned on it for the near future, but you know what…? I’m gonna look into that!
Take a look at the blog part of the site: http://ellieonplanetx.com/2015/07/30/blog/ellies-mission-patch/
Yup. That’s why I suggested it. Hmm… Kickstart it?
It’ll be like a limited time offer! I’m getting some samples so I can decide who to use to make them.
I miss seeing Ellie et al, and totally rely on my RSS to let me know if something new comes up on many comics. I do wish you the best thing FOR YOU, though, but admit I love ur l’il robot.
Awwww… thanks, celecca!
I see your work has only gotten more incredible. Awesome stuff James
Thanks tons, Frank! And I’m still digging your stuff, as always.
