I got some mail a few days ago: Joel Duggan’s collection of his comic strip Starcrossed!
Inside, Joel sketched a pic of Ellie and Sam.
And did I mention that I wrote the forward? That was quite an honor to be asked to do that.

Sean McLean, who creates the comic Underwhelmed, as well as another called Loop (how do you find the time?), sent along his fantastic take on Ellie and Jeff. I just recently started checking out his archive of strips. It’s huge. I like the way he creatively breaks the fourth wall on occasion. Fun stuff! Today’s strip is taking longer than I thought and probably won’t make an appearance until Friday morning. So instead, here’s an older interpretation of Ellie’s landing on Planet X. Some of you may have seen this before as I posted it way back in 2010 when we first started broadcasting Ellie’s transmissions.

Hi, everyone! I wanted to give you a heads up about a short vacation I’ll be taking from my post at Strang Institute Mission Control starting April 1st. Just a couple weeks so I can complete a special project that I’ve been working on for some time.
But you’ll be happy to know that Mission Control will still be up and running while I’m gone. I’ll be handing my security pass over to some talented friends who’ll be showing you their interpretations of Ellie and pals. It’ll be like candy on top of candy!
