Pachyderm Picnic
During my lunch break today I wandered the grounds of the Strang Institute where I caught sight of our two cloned mastodons. Betsy and Violet are pretty elusive, so if you spot them then you’re pretty lucky. I ran across them goofing around in the relatively warm January sun and did some quick sketches. Violet even came right up to me to see what I was doing.
Love these, especially the mix of colors on the top one.
Thanks Tom! Yeah, I like the top one better too. The bottom one was a warmup.

It’s amazing the things that we discover from cloning extinct life forms: I would never have guessed that a 20 ton Mastodon could be “elusive”. That’s an impressive ability for something that size!
And I understand they’re terrific chefs too.
