Work on the Ellie On Planet X graphic novel continues. No major landmarks passed or anything, but what I have is looking pretty good so far. That’s saying a lot when I pick apart everything I do (there was a lot of re-doing going on). I only wish I was able to show you what I have so far. So I’ll share this sketch from one of the pages and then it’s back to work!
Something cool arrived in the mail today! Emily Fricke finished the Ellie figure I commissioned from her. Check it out, with her little treads and antenna and all. So cute! Make sure you check out Emily’s Storenvy shop too!
Then a crazy thing arrived by tweet via Jon’s Crazy Stuff. Jon Esparza included Ellie and Balloon Boy in his most recent comic, along with some of his favorite characters from other strips all showing up at a comic con. Looks like she’s in good company. Thanks, Jon!

Hi, everyone! I’m going to be at Kids Read Comics at the Ann Arbor District Library this Saturday and Sunday. It’s a great convention full of all kinds of artists and events all geared toward kids. Best of all? Totally FREE! So come on by.
