I’ve always found Jeff’s anatomy to be problematic. I’m just looking for a simple solution to drawing his legs, and then making them arms when they need to be arms. This is my latest attempt at simplifying things. You’ll notice they look a lot different here than what’s going on in the comic at the top of the page.
A sketch of the Jungle Oasis as Ellie first saw it.
Part of another sketchbook page. This one features Jeff taking a soak courtesy of Mr. Amblebath. The more I think of that the more twisted I think it is. Also, there’s a Gilligan at the bottom left.
From the sketchbook, here are some caterslinks that aren’t among the twenty-one indigenous to the Jungle Oasis.
Before we got a good look at Muffin in Ellie’s transmissions, we had to take a guess at what he might look like from a few blurry photos.
Here’s a random page from one of my sketchbooks. There’s some Jeffs, Ellies, and Muffins in there, plus a couple of David Lettermans and a Queen! Enjoy!
Another entry from Ellie’s field guide of observations: The Denticulated Arborial Hangdog, actual size.
The Hangdog sits high up in the trees, waiting for unwary passers-by to pounce upon. His stinging bite lasts for only a split second, but he feels really guilty about it afterward.
Nothing to report today, but here’s a sketch of our three heroes. Note that I didn’t have their anatomy quite right yet when I drew this.
